Regency hat workshop
The turban, evoking the exotic Ottoman Empire was a chic head covering particularly favored by mature ladies for evening wear. In this workshop you will modify a buckram base to fit your head. Then choose from a selection of luxurious fabrics to drape your toque-style turban on the base. Add finishing touches from a variety of feathers, tassels, cords, and other fripperies. Basic hand sewing skills are required, assistance will be offered if you are having difficulties sewing the hat.
Dr. Ann Wass has been studying regency era fashion for 3 decades. She looks forward to guiding participants in creating this distinctive headwear.
ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.
